Prayer and Practice

There is no one way to practice Satanism, but that can mean it can be quite difficult to know how to actually start. This collection of resources is aimed at answering some of the most basic questions you may have about how to actually “do Satanism” in a religious way.

Basics

• Satanic Prayer and Devotion by Venus Satanas
  • A brief introduction to Satanic prayer by the lauded Venus Satanas, along with a link to her quite handy pocket prayer book.
• Hidden: Living with the Uninitiated by S. Connolly
  • It’s the sad truth that many Satanists must practice in secret, especially when young or dependent on family. This short book gives ideas and support to those who cannot display their faith loudly and proudly. While the author is a demonolator and thus speaks of demonolatry rather than Satanism, the lessons are still fully applicable to both faiths.
• Worshipping Demons 101 by Mirta Wake
  • Like it says on the tin, this lovely little book gives you a great starting point with demon worship, covering topics as choosing a demon, altar construction, and prayer.

  • Curious about what demons besides Satan are out there? Not sure where to learn more? Start with this book!
• Demonolater’s Handbook by Mirta Wake
  • A handy quick reference guide for many well-known demons, their correspondences, and tips and tricks for contacting and working with them.
• A Luciferian’s View - Deity Work and Ideas for Finding and Diversifying Your Practice by Mirta Wake
  • Starting deity work can be a daunting task, especially if you’ve never done it before. This short, accessible book lays out a lot of options for how to get started and what avenues of practice to explore.
• Petitions to King Paimon, a Book of Prayers and Spellwork by Anne O’Donoghue
  • Ever felt drawn to King Paimon in particular? Ever wished there were more resources about how to work with him, specifically? Your prayers have been answered!
• Ater Votum – A Book of Demonolatry Prayer
  • A generous offering from the folks at DB Publishing, Ater Votum is a crowdsourced collection of prayers involving a wide variety of subject matter and different demons to petition. If you’re struggling to write your own prayers, this book is a great place to look for inspiration.
• The Little Book of Satanic Healing by Anonymous
  • The question "how much good magick can do in the realm of healing" is always a hot one. Here at the Circle of the Fallen, we absolutely do not endorse using magick as a replacement for science-based medical intervention. However, if you’re still keen on knowing how healing and the Satanic faith can relate to one another, this book is a good place to start.
